Dr. Sunny Home Healthcare ("Dr. Sunny", "Company", "we", "us", or "our") operates a mobile-based digital healthcare platform that enables users to request, schedule, and receive healthcare services from licensed healthcare professionals through the Dr. Sunny Mobile Application ("App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable laws and healthcare regulations in the United Arab Emirates.

To facilitate healthcare services, we may collect appointment details (date, time, service category), service instructions or special care requirements, relevant medical records, previous laboratory results or prescriptions where applicable, check-in, OTP verification and check-out confirmations, and service completion records. All health-related information is collected strictly for service fulfillment, patient safety, clinical governance, and regulatory and audit purposes.
3.2.1 Online Consultation Information
If you use our online doctor consultation services, we may collect audio and/or video communication data during the consultation, health concerns, symptoms and relevant medical history shared during the session, and prescriptions or recommendations provided by the healthcare professional — used solely for providing safe and effective remote healthcare, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance.
3.3 Location Information
With your permission, we may collect precise or approximate location data to match customers with nearby providers, enable real-time tracking of provider arrival, calculate ETAs and optimize routing, detect fraudulent activity, and improve service reliability and safety. Location tracking may occur when the App is active in the foreground or background, subject to your device permissions.
3.4 Payment & Transaction Information
All payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways. Dr. Sunny does not store credit/debit card details. We retain limited transaction records such as payment status, timestamps, and reference numbers for accounting, reconciliation, and dispute resolution.
3.5 Device & Technical Information
We may automatically collect device type, model and operating system, App version, IP address, crash logs and error diagnostics, and usage patterns — used for performance optimization, security monitoring, and system improvement.
4. Purpose of Data Processing
We process personal data for: account creation and identity verification; booking, dispatch and delivery of healthcare services; provider assignment and ETA calculations; OTP-based service verification; payment processing and refunds; customer support and complaint handling; safety, fraud prevention and misuse detection; quality assurance, analytics and service improvement; and compliance with healthcare, tax and regulatory obligations.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
Dr. Sunny does not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We may share limited information with:
5.1 Healthcare Service Providers
To enable service delivery, providers may receive your first name, service address, service details, and OTP verification status. Providers are contractually bound to maintain confidentiality and data protection.
5.2 Technology & Operational Partners
Including payment processors, cloud hosting providers, and analytics, fraud detection and security vendors — all required to comply with strict confidentiality and data protection standards.
5.3 Legal, Regulatory & Government Authorities
We may disclose information where required to comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests or court orders, protect the rights and safety of users, providers or the Company, and investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents.
5.4 Corporate Transactions
In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred subject to continued protection under this Privacy Policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account remains active, as required for healthcare documentation and legal compliance, and for dispute resolution, audits and safety investigations. Certain healthcare or transactional records may be retained after account closure where legally mandated.
7. User Rights & Controls
You have the right to access and update your account information, manage notification preferences, control location permissions via your device, and request account deactivation. Requests may be subject to identity verification and legal limitations.
8. Safety, Monitoring & Fraud Prevention
To maintain platform integrity and safety, we may monitor service activity and behavioral patterns, detect suspicious actions such as repeated OTP failures or cancellations, and apply restrictions, suspensions or terminations for policy violations. These measures align with industry practices used by ride-hailing and on-demand service platforms.
9. Communications
We may send you booking confirmations and reminders, in-app chat messages enabling direct communication with your assigned service provider, provider arrival notifications, OTP and service alerts, policy or security updates, and WhatsApp marketing messages (with your consent). You may opt out of non-essential communications where applicable.
10. Minors & Dependents
The App is intended for users aged 18 and above. Services for minors must be booked by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.
11. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption of data in transit, access control and role-based permissions, secure cloud infrastructure, and regular monitoring and audits. Despite these measures, no system can guarantee absolute security.
12. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with or link to third-party services. Dr. Sunny is not responsible for their privacy practices. Users should review third-party privacy policies independently.
